Circle Hippie Levy

"Well a coffee house located in the basement of Trinity Cathedral," he said. "The state contends that by encouraging this type of behavior and giving this filth to youngsters as he did to a 15-year-old girl, D. A. Levy acted in a way that tended to endanger the health, morals and well-being of these children."

After he heard the literary passages. Judge Woldman described them as "literary garbage that warranted the arrest of this defendant."

"Society and this court have a right to protect kids from this type of filth which is filth for the sake of filth and nothing else," he said.

Outside the court, Levy said Judge Woldman’s statement was "a vulgar and ill-informed critique of these writings."

"I’m not a Christian, I’m a Jewish Buddhist. So why should my writings be judged on Christian standards?" he asked. "It’s not up to me to protect this so-called Christian society."
