Two Poets Deny Delinquency Charges
Two beatnik poets pleaded innocent to charges of contributing to the delinquency of minors in Juvenile Court today.
D. A. Levy, 24, was returned to County Jail where he will stay unless he can raise $2000 bond set by Judge Albert Woldman. Levy is charged with acting in such a way as to tend to contribute to the delinquency of a 15-year-old girl and a 17-year-old boy.
Robert Joseph Sigmond, 20, of 2417 Prospect Ave., a poet who signs his work RJS, pleaded innocent to charges of contributing to the delinquency of a 13-year-old girl, a 15-year-old girl and a 17-year-old boy. He is charged with encouraging their truancy and their absence from their parents.
Judge Walter G. Whitlatch set $1000 bond.
