Levy - Lowell Benefit Shifted to Case Tech
The May 14, appearance of poet Allen Ginsberg will be at Case Tech’s Strosacker Auditorium instead of at the Masonic Auditorium, the sponsoring committee announced.
His appearance will be at a benefit to raise legal defense for poet D. A. Levy and James Russell Lowell, owner of the Asphodel Book Store, both charged with distribution of obscene materials.
The benefit has been shifted to the Case Tech campus because approval of the use of Masonic Auditorium was withdrawn.
A group of students and faculty members of Western Reserve University, Case Tech and John Carroll University are sponsoring the benefit.
