Area Poet Fined on Smut Charge
Darryl A. Levy, 24-year-old poet, was fined $200 by Presiding Judge Albert A. Woldman of Juvenile Court yesterday. He was found guilty last month of acting in a way tending to cause the delinquency of minors.
The charges stemmed out of soliciting and publishing as well as reading aloud to an audience obscene poetry written by juveniles.
Levy was released on $500 bond. A six-month term in the Warrensville Workhouse was suspended. He lives at 1744 Wymore Street, East Cleveland.
