St. Ignatius College (John Carroll Univ.).

Educational institutions established by German Americans more than a century ago continue to provide gradutes with a solid background to meet the challenges of today and the future.

  • Baldwin-Wallace College
    The beginnings of Baldwin-Wallace College go back to 1837. B-W was the result of the merger with nearby German Wallace College in 1913.
  • John Carroll University
    John Carroll University, under the name of St. Ignatius College, was first operated by the priests of the Buffalo Mission of the German Province of the Society of Jesus.
  • Notre Dame College
    Notre Dame College was originally founded by a group of German nuns. The sisters also established Julie Billiart School (1954) and Regina High School (1957)
