Antioch Baptist Church is one of the oldest African American institutions in the city of Cleveland, Ohio. For more than 100 years, this church has served the social and spiritual needs of congregants and community residents alike. When the Praying Grounds oral history project was launched in 2003, members of Antioch were among the first to agree to be interviewed. The church is located on Cedar Avenue at East 89th Street, and the Rev. Dr. Marvin McMickle is pastor.
