Mortgage Burned By St. Elizabeth's

The Cleveland Press, Dec 24 1945

The financial records of St. Elizabeth's Church, E. 90th street and Buckeye road, today were free of all debt fallowing the final payment of $25,000 on a mortgage on the $300,000 building.

The ceremonies at a mortgage burning took place after the 11 o'clock mass yesterday at which the pastor, Monsignor Emory Tanos, was the celebrant.

Monsignor Floyd L. Begin spoke at a dinner and congratulated the parish on removal of its debt. Msgr. Tanos has been pastor since 1927. He said the parish planned to build a new convent next year.
